Information on Craigslist.com Scam As of January 2009, The Fort Meade Homes Team and all of it's team members inlcuding Laura Roskelly DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIGLIST.com. If you see our names associated with any rental listings on Craiglist.com it is a fraudulent posting.
An unknown person or persons whose IP address tracks back to Nigeria is using photos of our properties for sale and posting those homes as rental properties at MUCH LESS THAN MARKET RENT.
This person has used several different scenarios to explain why he is out of the country including missionary work, family illness, etc. The e-mails are usually not written with proper English (see real examples below) and they all request that you WIRE FUNDS to secure the property. This person has used e-mail addresses that contain my personal name including LauraRoskelly@yahoo.com, Lroskelly@google.com and others. None of these addresses belong to or are used by our Team.
This person has also phoned potential victims (which is how we know it is a man) and identified himself as Laura Roskelly.
DO NOT provide funds via wire or any other means to anyone who...
1. Cannot provide you access to the property
2. Cannot prove ownership of the property (check local tax records to be safe!)
3. Requests funds without having met you or allowing you to see the home.

We have contacted the FTC, Yahoo, our Broker and a local news station. To date this person has used our names, other names, our properties and those of others. The main identifying factor for his ads are that the properties are dramatically UNDERPRICED!
